Accessibility Statement

This campaign believes every resident of Wawayanda should be able to use this website, whatever tools they browse with. Last updated August 31, 2026.

Our commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Accessibility was considered while this site was built, not added afterwards.

What we have done

  • Text and background colours meet WCAG AA contrast ratios
  • Every page can be operated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator
  • A skip link lets keyboard and screen-reader users jump straight to the main content
  • Headings follow a logical order, and each page has one main heading
  • All meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text
  • Form fields have associated labels
  • Landmarks identify the header, navigation, main content and footer
  • The layout reflows on phones, tablets and desktops, and text can be enlarged to 200% without loss of function
  • Motion is reduced automatically for visitors who set that preference in their operating system
  • Embedded videos are hosted on YouTube, where captions and playback controls are available

Known limitations

Some embedded third-party content, including the video player and the ActBlue contribution page, is outside our control and may not fully meet the same standard. Captions on individual videos depend on what was provided when they were published.

Tell us about a problem

If any part of this site is difficult to use, please tell us through the form on the volunteer page, describing the page and the difficulty. We will respond and correct the problem where we can. If you need information from this site in another format, we will provide it.
