Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the Charles Kangethe for Wawayanda Town Supervisor campaign ("the Company", "we", "us") collects through this website and how it is used. Last updated August 31, 2026.
Information we collect
We collect only the information you choose to give us through the sign-up and volunteer forms on this site. Depending on the form, that may include your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, the volunteer activities you select, a subject line and any message you write.
Our hosting provider also records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
How we use your information
- To contact you about campaign events, volunteer opportunities, campaign news and fundraising
- To organize volunteers and match people with the activities they selected
- To respond to questions and messages you send us
- To maintain the security and performance of this website
If you give us your phone number and consent to contact, we may reach you by phone call or text message. Message and data rates may apply.
Contributions
Contributions to the campaign are processed by ActBlue on its own website, not on this site. We do not collect or store your payment card details. ActBlue's own privacy policy and terms govern that transaction, and contributions may be subject to public disclosure under applicable New York State campaign finance law.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who operate this website and the campaign's contact tools on our behalf, and only so they can perform those services. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Video content on the gallery page is embedded through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set tracking cookies unless you play a video. If you play an embedded video, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to stop contacting you, to tell you what information we hold about you, or to delete your information. Contact us through the form on the volunteer page and we will act on your request. You can also reply STOP to any campaign text message to opt out of text messages.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
